Whale Sharks & Manta Rays return to the north waters of Isla Mujeres each summer from May - September! Isla Mujeres is home to the Largest Concentration on the PLANET! You will be able to swim alongside these gentle giants as they swim right on the surface to feed on the fish eggs and plankton in the water. Their sizes range from 20-50+ feet and have beautiful unique spots that are guaranteed to take your breath away! This is an adventure you do not want to miss!!

The whale sharks are amazing --- completely out of this world. Aqua Adventures did a great job getting us all a lot of time with them, including going to multiple different spots to find different groups. I'll remember this experience for the rest of my life!
Snorkeling with Whale Sharks and SCUBA Diving

We did a whale shark snorkeling trip and a number of dives over 5 days, a fantastic experience all round!
The whale shark trip was amazing, the encounters with the sharks are well managed and it's breathtaking being so close to them! We would recommend taking your own masks/snorkels and fins for added comfort if you have them.
The diving was also excellent. We were well looked after by Sebastian, Jason, Pedro and boat captain Wilbert. They took care of us on the boat and guided us around the dive sites excellently, taking time to point out all the interesting things along the way.
Early in the week some of our bookings had to be adjusted due to weather and technical issues and Jason made sure we were still able to fully enjoy our time despite the mishaps by helping us reorganise our plans.
We completely recommend this company if you are looking to dive and snorkel with whale sharks on Isla Mujeres!

Bucket List Adventure

My family and I, ages 30s to 70s, went for the whale shark snorkel on the Pajarito. The captain and guide were professional and friendly. During the ride, they chose music that could be enjoyed by most audiences. Rules for boat safety and interacting with the whale sharks were presented clearly. Not being a Spanish speaker, I appreciated their English fluency.
The captain did a commendable job of manoeuvring around snorkelers, whale sharks and other boats. We were directed in a manner that made our jumps successful and the views I got of the animal were everything I had hoped for. The guide did an incredible job of making sure my mother, in her 70s, saw the shark by guiding her by the hand. I’m pretty sure he was doing most of the kicking for her too! He also managed to GoPro incredible footage of her with the shark while he was taking care of her.
It would have been nice to do more than two jumps, but I am unsure if regulations limit this. I also wish I had brought my own fins, as I found the complementary ones short and less efficient. The brief snorkel and sandwiches afterwards weren’t super exciting, but they made the tour last a bit longer. We all enjoyed their ceviche.
This was a bucket list experience for all of us. Well worth the money! I would do it again, and definitely recommend this company to others.

A truly amazing experience getting to swim close to whales sharks. The captain and crew were great throughout the trip. We were able to get us close to the sharks without over stepping the bounds of what is right for the sharks / ecological perspectives.
Such a great once and life time experience.

Honestly best experience of my life. We started out on a boat of o people plus the 2 crew members. It took just over an hour to get there. When we got there we couldn’t have be happier. We swam with so many whale sharks. It was such an amazing experience. I did get a little sea sick but I took medicine and hour before and second once we got there and it was great. We had just a great time.
After our last jump with the whale sharks we then headed back to snorkel the reefs. Had lunch and ceviche. Then a great swim at playa norta. It was such a good experience and I’m soo glad Aqua Adventures had set us up on a great boat and crew. Honestly I would do it again in a heart beat.
